Most good hosting companies should have the Ioncube Loaders already installed for you and you do not need to worry about this post at all.

If you recieve an IONcube related error when activating the plugin or whilst viewing your blog after installation, the first option is to contact your hosting company. Hosting companies should be used to such a common request and will install them for you or direct you to a short tutorial on how to install them yourselves.

How To Install IonCube Loaders On Godaddy Shared Hosting

1. Download the IonCube loader specific to your server. You can get these from IonCube via this link.

2. Un-Zip the loader package you just downloaded, and upload the entire ioncube/ directory using BINARY MODE to your home directory using FTP.

3. If there is not one already, create a file named php5.ini in your home directory. You should now see the file php5.ini and a directory ioncube/ when you FTP to the home directory on your server.

4. Edit the php5.ini file you just created, and add this line:
zend_extension = /home/content/m/y/w/mywebsite/html/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so

Please note: You will need to change the line above to match the path of your site. For godaddy if your domain name is “www.example.com” then your path is likely to be “/home/content/e/x/a/example/html/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so”.

6. Save the changes and upload the php5.ini file.

If you are having trouble finding your path name contact GoDaddy support and they will be able to tell you what your home directory is.
